How do I commission a custom sculpture?
1
What is the typical timeline for a commissioned sculpture?
2
Timelines can vary based on the complexity and size of the sculpture. The commissioned piece could take anywhere from several weeks to several months to sculpt. Once the modelling stage is completed, the work goes to the foundry, where it is expertly cast into bronze. This process takes an average of 3-6 months or more. The foundry will be able to provide a more accurate timeline once they are contracted for the job.
Do you offer international shipping for sculptures?
3
Yes, I offer international shipping. Shipping costs and delivery times vary depending on the destination, insurance, size and weight of the sculpture. Please contact me for more information and to discuss shipping details.
Are your sculptures suitable for outdoor display
4
Definitely. All sculptures are suitable for outdoor display if they are cast in bronze. Some maintenance may be required. Details of this can be discussed during an initial consultation.
What materials do you use for your sculptures?
5
I typically model my work with clay and then finish the work in bronze as it allows me to capture intricate details and ensures durability. However, each project is unique, and sometimes I work with wood, plaster, or other materials to achieve the best outcome for the project.
Can I visit your studio to see your work in person?
6
Definitely! In fact, I encourage it if at all possible. Client interaction with sculpture in all of its phases is beneficial to all involved. Plus, it makes for wonderful photo opportunities to share via social media if you’d like.
Do you offer limited edition sculptures?
7
Yes, any sculpture can be made into a limited edition. Typically, editions of 10 to 15 are created, but higher and lower numbers are also available. Pricing and timeline will vary based on the final number.
What happens if I'm not satisfied with the final sculpture?
8
Ideally, we will never get to this. Throughout the entire process of your commissioned work, you as the client will have numerous opportunities to view the sculpture in progress. Any concerns you may have can be discussed and corrected to ensure you are completely satisfied with the final sculpture.
Can I purchase sculptures directly from your website?
9
I do have some products directly for sale on my website, but at the moment, if you’re interested in any of my sculptures, you may email me directly, or use the contact form to discuss any potential purchases you may wish to make.
