Commissioned by St. Columban Catholic Church, these bronze sculptures of San Pedro, San Lorenzo, and two mythic creatures—the Bakunawa and the Minokawa—were created as site-specific altar pieces. The work reflects themes of devotion, symbolism, and the enduring triumph of good over evil.

This completed installation for St. Columban Catholic Church in Los Angeles features bronze sculptures of San Pedro, San Lorenzo, and their accompanying mythic creatures, the Bakunawa and the Minokawa. The works were designed at roughly five feet in height and created as site-integrated altar pieces, installed beneath the church’s mosaic and alongside the devotional candle area. A smaller Santo Niño figure—approximately 18 inches tall—is incorporated directly into the surrounding mural. Developed collaboratively with Chris Sladoff, Elizabeth Fredrickson, and Chris Stewart, the project reflects themes of protection, spiritual resilience, and the triumph of good over evil within Catholic tradition. The final installation was blessed by the Archbishop and now stands as a permanent part of the church’s architectural and devotional space.
